On this site you can find night light images for almost 50,000 cities. They all have image from space recorded by NASA in 2016. Only locations of population above 20,000 have night images from 2012. And places with population over 50,000 have old data too from 1995 and 2003.

Most illuminated areas - these numbers are not equal with avgerage luminocity calculated from 10x10 or 50x50 km areas. This is measured from much bigger surface (for example Amterdam and The Hague are in this rectangle area). Lightest area is Nile Delta with Cairo included and all cities are measured as % of this value.
